WINNIPEG, October 16, 2014 – Empire Industries Ltd. (TSX-V: EIL) today announced that Peter White-Robinson has been appointed Executive Vice President of Attractions, effective immediately. Mr. White-Robinson was elected as a director of the Company at the Annual Shareholders Meeting held in September, 2014.

Mr. White-Robinson is a mechanical engineer with more than three decades of experience in building, owning and operating the largest engineering and fabrication business in New Zealand. Mr. White-Robinson will be responsible for Empire’s Media-based Attractions business segment, including Dynamic Structures and its fabrication and manufacturing operations in Vancouver, its proprietary media based attractions business unit called Dynamic Attractions, and its Chinese fabrication Joint Venture.
Mr. Nelson added: “This appointment significantly strengthens the operational depth of our senior management team at Empire in our fastest growing business segment. It will free me up to focus on creating strategic value in the other parts of our business. I am looking forward to working closely with Peter as we drive the company’s strategy forward.”
Mr. White-Robinson has been issued 2.5 million stock options, exercisable at $0.10 per share, vesting immediately, expiring in 5 years, pursuant to the stock option plan approved by the shareholders at the last Annual General Meeting.
